I will work to provide proactive rather than reactive transportation planning, which protects our community and insures better transportation solutions as the community continues to change.

• Improved east west transportation corridors.
• Working with local officials to remove the red tape and produce real traffic reduction solutions.
• Public safety work to insure our skilled public safety prersonnel will continue to have the equipment and training to face the ever-changing challenges to our community.

FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

For far too long our local tax dollars have gone to other regions and communities. It's time to reverse that and keep our money working at home.

• Common Sense spending plans that protect your tax dollars.
• Logical local funding formulas for state projects.
• Needs Based Budgeting.

EDUCATION

As a former high school teacher, I understand what it means to maintain local control while fighting against state and federal un-funded mandates. Cherokee County has a strong public school system and I will work to keep it that way!

• Working to keep Cherokee tax dollars in Cherokee.
• Working to return local control of programs and funding.
• Encourage our school systems to exceed state standards by providing incentives to those communities which excel.
• Rewarding and respecting our teachers.
• Offer tax credits for parent's educational expenditures.
